After a few glorious days in Jerusalem, I'm now in Jordan for the next three days, hence any lack of updates from my end until I get back. Thanks for stopping by.

Today was an impulsive expedition into the West Bank to Ramallah. I'm safely back and otherwise too tired to say anything else. Cheers.

And by beyond I mean back into Israel simply because I'm not allowed in any other countries in the region except for Egypt.
As for now...I'm in East Jerusalem staying in a quaint *ahem...hostile* hostel by the Damascus Gate. Hassan and I are off to the Old City today, then possibly to Hebron...we've met some passionate student activists who invited us...I used to have a t-shirt I bought in a moment of snarky adolescent hubris, which read I got STONED in Hebron, I only wish I had a clearer grasp on the statute of limitations of karma before embarking on this journey.
C'est la vie (I hope)...
More to come.

Tuesday August 8 - Sunday August 13
Status: Still Alive
Activities:
Putzed around TA all week from the office to Dizengoff to Kikar Rabin, Lillenblum, Sheinken to Sderot Rothschild, saw a hippie drum circle on the beach before Shabbat, got three-shekel ice cream at McD's, watched a superman trumpet play the national anthem.
Traipsed around Jaffa through the shuk, Abulafia Bakery (x3), went swimming, cut my foot in the sea, smoked hookah with nice Christian Arabs who I may have told I was Canadian.
Next destination from Sunday onward: the North.
