On a serious note, today's New York Times front page article about two star-crossed teenage lovers in Afghanistan has to be one of the most insane and heart-breaking things I've read in a while. You should read it too.
On a much less serious note, my weekend of celebrity is drawing nigh. I just wanted to thank the dozens of people who wrote me to give support (especially from Israel). I am, of course, talking about my op-ed in Haaretz.
Above is a screenshot of my piece on the front page (the paper edition is currently lining protest tents in Tel Aviv). I wanted to point out a few things about the image.
1. There is your definitive proof for those who doubted. (Dad.)
2. The op-ed was trending on the front page all Shabbas. (Mom.)
3. Eldan rental cars are really a cut above the rest. (paid promotion)
4. How much do Newt Gingrich and I look alike in this picture? (Eerie!)
