4th

Enjoy this 22-second time-lapse video of the NYC fireworks, which saved me a few hours of crushing through crowds and bros and strollers and drunks. I did enjoy the view from a roof in Brooklyn where the Macy's show was semi-visible as well as a startling amount of insurgent fireworks from the roofs of the fearless. After one massive display in the area of 4th Ave. and Union Street in Park Slope/Gowanus finished, we then heard the wail of the fire trucks, which was amusing because we were far enough away from it not to feel involved. Ain't that America?
