So this makes me an elitist, but if you've got a New Yorker subscription (and like me, you fall weeks behind and lost and drown), that small kernel of pleasure you feel when you finally sit with an old issue and stumble across something fantastic and it makes all the agony of the piles piling up worth...well, this happened to me v. recently whilst enjoying Ian Frazier's piece on seals. (I was ambivalent initially as well.)
If you can't still read it, I don't know when the pieces expire, drop me a line and I'll either scan and send or make something happen. That is my gift to you, loyal TFR "reader."
