Update: Queen Watch

The JTA is now reporting that the Queen of Jordan did not have Hebrew book offers to reject and so she is not a big, thin hypocrite, but rather a hot, regal mensch.

Here's the grain of salt, the kind of analysis which prompts you to turn, time and time again, to TFR for its brilliance: those denying the story are Jordanian officials, which have no independent media to correct them. So who knows?

Regardless, what a silly thing for either side to lie about. They should just swap sandwiches: pita and hummus for pita and hummus. After all, isn't hummus the answer to whirled peas?
