Spring Cleaning

It begins with bathroom graffiti.
Out on the curb of my block, some evidence that a neighbor was doing some spring cleaning. Perched astride a stack of discarded books was a VHS cassette tape of Girls Gone Wild (Girl Power edition) alongside Sartre's Being and Nothingness.
The street cleaning Zamboni was stalled out on 7th Avenue and about to be carried away by a tow truck. People were commenting about the city budget and how the end of New York is coming along with the spring thaw. I just want to know what happens when the tow truck breaks down.
A woman had always wanted to play the violin and so she approached a man on the seam of indigence and he taught her to make a small noise, which was something she already knew how to do.
Bonnie Rabin was angry at her neighbor's trash and her neighbor was angry right back.
Abraham Foxman lectured about the unassailable virtue of Zionism. When the majority listening stopped clapping, the minority left hissed at him.
