Mickey-Mas?

Here's a little gem for your Monday morning, sent with love from Fox News of all places. They are reporting about Farfur the lovable little mouse who entertains Palestinian children on Hamas television (Al-Aqsa Television). He sings, he dances, he tells the children to pray five times a day, drink milk, and resist the "oppressive invading Zionist occupation."

"We, tomorrow’s pioneers, will restore to this nation its glory, and we will liberate Al-Aqsa, with Allah’s will, and we will liberate Iraq, with Allah’s will, and we will liberate the Muslim countries, invaded by murderers.”
At some point I think I would have been appalled by this, but...how can anybody hate a little mouse? It's Farfur, he just wants to kill the imperialist Jews and Westerners. Is he any worse a character than Scrooge McDuck and his insatiable capitalist greed?

Or perhaps even the psychopathic Wile E. Coyote?

Ok, yes he is. But perhaps, could this be revenge for Tom and Jerry, which, according to this Iranian scholar, is a Zionist Conspiracy as well?
It's Children's Week at TFR...you decide.

a list of famous nazi sympathizers: IBM corporation (their number-counting abilities were useful to the reich), henry ford (yes, the guy who made the cars...and admired the slave labor that built volkswagon?), and walt disney. how can "mickey" and "jerry" be both anti and pro-semitic? does it have something to do with jerry stiller? and if so, why do the mice have little noses and big ears? and what does that say about dumbo?

Well, the Iranians got it partially wrong because Tom & Jerry wasn't even a Disney cartoon... perhaps (sadly and far-fetchingly) validating is that MGM produced the cartoon and they are a traditionally Jewish company.
This whole story actually ballooned to the cover of the NY Post today...which is not surprising...but should make for some mega-news down the line.
My favorite part is where the Iranian scholar talks about how cute Jerry is. He's just so cute. If only Tom were a Persian cat.
